2. What was your last big project?
"The Eagle & The Serpent: A History of Mexico Abridged" about the history of Mexico spanning 30,000 years. As a dramatist this was a joy to work on because of the colorful drama that makes up Mexico history.
[The show opens on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. at the Arizona Latino Arts and Cultural Center in Phoenix, for location and ticket information, click here.]
3. What's your next big project?
Amexica: Tales from the Fourth World.
A multi-disciplinary performance piece about a poet who travels the breadth of the U.S.-Mexico border, as well as the past and future, in search of the roots of his inspiration.
4. Why do you do what you do?
I'm addicted to doing things that matter, at least in small ways, to the world I occupy.
5. What's something you want Phoenix to know about you (and if you're game, what's something you DON'T want Phoenix to know about you?)
I'd like people to know that everything I do is motivated by contributing something useful and good to our collective community.
