As much as we loathe the cutesy term, staycations are awesome. And as tourist season in the Valley comes to a close, those bold enough to brave a Phoenix summer get rewarded with killer deals at some of the best resorts and hotels in town. Rounds of golf, access to in-house water parks, and spa packages galore await staycationers at these 10 spots in the greater Phoenix area. It almost makes our oven-like temperatures worth it.

W Scottsdale

If you want to be in the middle of it all, and we mean right in the middle, during your relaxing vacation, then look no further than the W Scottsdale. This sleek, modern hotel has Scottsdale's best clubs, restaurants, and nightlife just beyond the front doors. This summer, the W, 7277 East Camelback Road, is offering a special deal for Arizona residents that includes 20 percent off best available room rate, 20 percent off food and non-alcoholic beverages at Sushi Roku, 20 percent off at Bliss Spa and W The Store, complimentary high speed internet access, and two SIP tickets. This deal is available for those staying between now and September 4, 2015. You must present a valid Arizona ID to receive the discounts. For more information and to book a room, visit whotels.com or call 877-822-0000.

The Saguaro Scottsdale

The Saguaro in Scottsdale is a bright, colorful hotel with a mid-century feel located in downtown Scottsdale at 4000 North Drinkwater Boulevard. Though the hotel houses its own restaurant, Iron Chef Jose Garces' Distrito, several other restaurants are just on the other side of the Scottsdale Civic Center, as are Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art. Basically, food and art lovers won't need to leave the vicinity. That is, unless you want a great deal on your room. Then you'll need to head to downtown Phoenix for a ballgame. During the Swing into Savings deal, The Saguaro is offering 20 percent off best available room rates when the guests attend an Arizona Diamondbacks game. For more information and to book a room, visit The Saguaro Scottsdale's website or call 877-808-2440.

Hotel Palomar

The view from Hotel Palomar's rooftop pool (it's technically on the second floor, but still) is one of our favorite views of downtown Phoenix. With Chase Field on one side, the majority of downtown's skyscrapers on the other, and the Valley's signature mountains stretching around it all, it's one of the most unique vantage points of the city. Oh, and the Palomar, 2 East Jefferson Street, also has Lustre Rooftop Garden, Blue Hound Kitchen and Cocktails, and all of CityScape at its guests' fingertips. During its Fast Forward to Summer deal, guests will receive 20 percent off best available room rates. Visit hotelpalomar-phoenix.com for more information and to book rooms.

Arizona Biltmore

Check out a piece of our state's history when you stay at the Arizona Biltmore, which was originally opened in 1929. With live musical performances, eight pools to cool off in, children's cooking classes, and wine tastings, there's something for people of all ages to enjoy at the Biltmore, 2400 East Missouri Avenue. The All-Inclusive Package for the summer includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two, classic accommodations, 20 percent off a la carte spa services all starting at $199 with the resort fee included. For more details and to book a room, visit the Arizona Biltmore's website or call 602-955-6600.

Wigwam Arizona

Sure, the Wigwam is a bit of a drive from the city, but just imagine how much more a trip there will feel like an actual vacation. With amazing scenic views of Arizona's desert and beautiful grounds, the Wigwam, located at 300 East Wigwam Boulevard in Litchfield Park, offers limitless opportunities to appreciate Arizona's natural beauty. This summer, the Summer Splash package starts at $99 and includes unlimited rounds of golf for the price of one, buy-one-get-one-50-percent-off on same-day spa services, and $50 Sunday through Thursday or $75 Friday and Saturday poolside cabana rentals. See the details on wigwamarizona.com or call 623-935-3811.

Hyatt Regency Scottsdale

The newly renovated lobby, which will feature live music on the newly built stage, at the Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Gainey Ranch is exactly what guests need to ease them into vacation mode. But one look at the resort's pool with a sand beach and giant waterslide will make you never want to return to real life. Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa

Anytime a resort says it will cover the cost of something, it earns major points in our book. Such is the case with the Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa, 5594 West Wild Horse Pass Boulevard in Chandler. From now until September 8, Wild Horse Pass is offering the You Stay, We Pay deal with rooms starting at $159 per night. You'll also receive a $50 daily resort credit, so go crazy and enjoy the resort's award-winning restaurant Kai, the Aji Spa, Whirlwind Golf Club, any of the four pools, and the Koli Equestrian Center. You'll also get half day complimentary access to the Sheraton Adventure Club. Sanctuary on Camelback

If you're looking to whisk that special someone away on a romantic summer getaway while not actually leaving the Valley, look no further than Sanctuary on Camelback, 5700 East McDonald Drive in Scottsdale. Choose the Summer of Love special and you and your loved one will receive a one-night stay in a Mountain Casita, chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne upon arrival, and dinner for two at elements, the resort's restaurant. Just mention the deal when you call 855-245-2051, and we promise it will be worth any potential embarrassment you experience while mumbling "Summer of Love" to a stranger over the phone. The Westin Phoenix Downtown

If you're a huge Diamondbacks fan or maybe an even bigger fan of one of the teams they'll be playing this summer, The West Phoenix Downtown, 333 North Central Avenue, has your back. Through October 5, you can get a room starting at $94 if you're attending a game at Chase Field. You'll also receive complimentary valet parking, usually $29 per day, and complimentary internet access. We're going to refrain from making any kind of baseball puns, but suffice to say it sounds like a pretty good deal to us.
