Stars and stripes swimwear? Check. Sunblock? Got it right here. Excess amounts of disposable cash for drinks? Ready and waiting. Looks like you’re locked and loaded for any of the big pool parties that will take place during the Fourth of July holiday.

Many of the usual joints, ranging from high-end hotels to stylish swim spots like Maya Day and Nightclub in Scottsdale, have several such events planned for the three-day weekend, all of which will offer drinking, dancing, and the chance to take a dip. (Heck, some might even include the chance to scope out some fireworks overhead after dark.) That includes any of the must-see pool parties happening around Metro Phoenix.

If you go, however, don’t forget to bring a miniature American flag or similar swag to get into the spirit of things, as well as the number of a good cab company so you’ll wind up getting home safe after a day of either chilling out or going hard.

Maya Day and Nightclub
If you happen to have some major party mojo saved up, as well as plenty of endurance to boot, the staff at Maya will eagerly indulge your unquenchable thirst for raging with 14 straight hours of revelry on Saturday, July 4, during its "Red, White and Borgeous" event.

The festivities kick off at noon will center around Scottsdale spot's outdoor pool during the daytime as DJs like ETC! ETC! and Brass Knuckles spin, go-go dancers strut their stuff, and attendees frolic in the water with inflatable toys. Once the sun goes down, the action moves inside when headliner Borgeous performs for the hundreds in attendance. General admission is $20 and VIP service is $50. Call 480-625-0528.

W Scottsdale Hotel
Holiday weekends are always big party occasions at the W, and this year's Fourth of July definitely isn't an exception to that rule. Patrons of the hotel will live it up while getting down around the second-floor pool for three straight days and nights during its Independence Day Weekend fêtes. DJs will spin while the stylish staff serves high-end libations and specialty cocktails at the affairs, each of which begins at 11 a.m.

A nautical-themed event on Friday, July 3, will start things off at the W and feature Mark Farina in the mix during his afternoon set. Tickets are $20 online. It's followed by a party that will last all day and into the night on Satuday, July 4, that will include model and actress Brooke Evers showing off her DJ skills as the featured entertainment. The skies overhead will also come alive with fireworks later in the evening. Admission is $30. Finally, high-energy sounds and high-octane spirits will dominate the pool party on Sunday, July 5, at the hotel. Tickets are $15. Call 480-970-2100.

Hotel Palomar
The hotel's Lustre Rooftop Garden and third-floor pool will host two days of celebrations on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, that will feature the sort of thrills and distractions that any red-blooded all-American is bound to enjoy.

The “Made in the USA” party on Saturday, for instance, will include games like cornhole and champong, a patriotic costume contest for prizes and giveaways at 4 p.m., Tito's vodka specialty cocktails, and performances by folk/pop singer-songwriter Sara Masterson from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Fosterson Band from 8 p.m. until midnight. You can also get great views of the fireworks over Chase Field starting at 7:10 p.m. Doors open at 11 a.m. and admission is $10 for non-hotel guests.

Sunday's festivities will include DJs and dancing, games, specialty drinks, and other fun around the pool, which will be open from 11 a.m. Admission is free. Call 480-478-1765.

Talking Stick Resort
Since the three-day Fourth of July holiday happens to coincide with Talking Stick's weekend Release pool parties, the resort is (naturally) planning back-to-back-to-back events in honor of the occasion. Each will feature its own lineup of DJs and special attractions, as well as all the usual poolside shenanigans and swank amenities.

Those who happen to have the day off from work on Friday, July 3 — or just want to play hooky — can splash away as EDM artists like Deorro, Dirty Audio, and ZooFunktion perform on Talking Stick's enormous outdoor stage. Admission is $20 in advance, $30 at the door.

Meanwhile, the Independence Day festivities on Saturday, July 4, will include a headlining gig by DJ Erick Morillo and plenty of drinking and dancing. Tickets are $15 and $30 on the day of the event. The holiday weekend will wrap up with a free event on Sunday, July 5, with DJ E5cobar. Gates open at 11 a.m. each day and the parties run until 6 p.m. Cabana and daybed rentals are also available for anyone who wants to celebrate in style. Call 480-850-7777,

The Saguaro
Ahoy, landlubbers: If you’re eager to gain access to either of Captain Morgan's two exclusive Fourth of July pool parties happening at the Saguaro Hotel pool on Saturday, July 4, and Sunday, July 5, there’s a few things you’ll be required to do. First, hit up the website of local events promoter Scottsdale Nights and download its smart phone app for either iPhone or Android devices. Once that’s done, select the “VIP” tab and sign up for the VIP list to get free entry into the events, both of which will run from noon until 8 p.m. and will include DJs and a variety of Captain Morgan cocktails (natch). You can also text 480-772-7613 for more info.

Wyndham Garden Phoenix
There will be much in the way of fun in the sun during the Urban Splash affair on Saturday, July 4, at this midtown hotel. Besides all the activity taking place in and around the pool itself, the party will also feature volleyball and cornhole games, DJs spinning hip-hop and R&B music, and various live performances throughout the afternoon and early evening. The event runs from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and admission is $10 in advance, $15 at the door, and $20 for those who want the VIP treatment. Call 480-233-6485 for more info.
