Tiphanie Brooke
's a multidisciplinary graphic artist, who laughs while saying her career thus far has been a little unpredictable. She had her first show in Europe and her work appeared in books before newspapers and blogs.

She says she's never not working on antigirl (her own project and brand she started as a teenager), which has appeared in galleries in Belgium and Canada as well as in Phoenix Design Week and the Phoenix Art Museum.

Her method includes design/print, illustration, photography, painting, screen printing and a final touch with adobe creative suite.

1. List five things on your Inspiration Wall (real or imagined).
Anything, and everything, and everyone. I don't think I believe in inspiration. I think you either do it or you don't. I do get a lot of ideas from going out, going crazy, drinking a lot of Maker's Mark, and anything to do with my boyfriend. Then, I settle into madness and get back to work ... and repeat.

2. What was your last big project?
Oh, a heart installation piece I did for a children's nursery. It had more than 30 reconditioned antique frames and many of my heart prints along with quotes that client picked out.

3. What's your next big project?

A mural of Heart No. 23 (in my heart series). It's going on a two story wall that is attached to Phoenicia Association (Where I'm also having a solo show in February of 2011) at the end of September. I haven't done anything like this before, so it's going to another learning experience. I'm also going to try a time lapse video of the process.

4. Why Phoenix?
Currently, because I go to Phoenix College and have studied or am studying with some amazing teachers including Monica Aissa Martinez, Jennifer Laffoon, Marlys Kubicek, Windy Willis, Coni Bourin, and John Randall Nelson.

5. What's something you want Phoenix to know about you?
If we met and I wasn't working or at school, I was probably drunk. I am sorry if anything bad happened or I don't quite know your name still.
