White Tank Mountain Regional Park
Take a hike into history with this trek through the Willow Springs Area. Considered a moderate-to-difficult hike, this seven-mile outing will lead you to an abandoned habitation and other historic sites, awakening stories of the past and providing a new outlook on the desert and its surroundings. This hike will meet at 8:30 a.m. and is expected to take about five hours. Park staff recommend bringing at least one gallon of water and a snack.

The Promenade
Why watch a movie inside when you can enjoy one by the light of the moon? Grab a blanket, some lawn chairs, and a few of your closest friends for a night outside at the movies. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m., with balloon animals, popcorn, and giveaways from the stores and restaurants of Scottsdale’s Promenade. Kung Fu Panda 3 starts at 7:30, and the event offers a chance to donate to the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation.

San Tan Mountain
Get an A-to-Z introduction to mountain biking on the desert terrain of San Tan Mountain. Topics covered include safety, proper gear and equipment, balance, control, and overall bike confidence. This ride will meet at 8 a.m. at the main trailhead, where a 30-minute class will take place, followed by a two-mile ride where attendees can put their new skills into action. For safety reasons, helmets are required and plenty of water is recommended.
Full “Pink” Moon Hike

San Tan Mountain Regional Park
Enjoy Earth Day well into the evening with a Full “Pink” Moon hike in the San Tan Mountain Regional Park. The hike is named for the Wild Ground Phlox, a pink wildflower that gets an early start on blooming in the desert. It's a great way to enjoy April’s full moon. This hike will start at 8 p.m. and consists of an easy 2.2-mile trek on the Stargazer Loop Trail. Proper footwear is a must, and guides recommend checking the weather for suitable attire.
