There's a lot happening on Marshall Way in Scottsdale.

On the heels of Niki D'Andrea's feature story about the recession-driven "Pop-up Galleries" along the strip, Scottsdale's Art One has downsized their gallery space.

Instead of spreading their vast collection of student art between two rooms, they are now limited to the north portion of the building they've occupied for years on Marshall Way.

We've followed the story of Art One since the economy tanked (click here for the story). Owner Kraig Foote has struggled to make ends meet to keep his non-profit gallery that features works by student/inexperienced artists open.

Art One sells pieces for under $100 and up to $1,500. The gallery has been instrumental in launching the careers of local artists like Suzanne Falk and Brian Boner.

The smaller gallery only provides about one-third of the wall space they used to have. Art One will, however, be able to stay open during their regular hours.
