Gigi Arredondo has been working in the industry for nearly a decade as a hair stylist, makeup artist, and beauty consultant in Old Town Scottsdale. She's constantly learning, trend-hunting, and shopping -- all with access to beauty products not available to the public. And she's here to share the good, the bad, and the ugly. Up today: Men's facial hair.

Move over mustache, beard nation is taking over. From a strategic 5 o'clock shadow, a goatee, or an even manlier "Duck Dynasty" Beard, facial hair is where it at this summer. Lets explore a few different types of manliness at its finest.

Perfect 5 o'clock shadow: Trimming your whole face with clippers once a week will maintain this sexy scruff. So HOT, trust me. Think Patrick Dempsey or Bradley Cooper and don't even act like you don't know who they are.

Goatee: Shaving your cheek area with a razor once a week will give you this look (you can chose to keep your lip hair, or shave it off, its ups to you). You can either keep it trimmed nice and neat using clippers with a guard, or you can let your chin/mustache area keep on growing! Hopefully your wife will help you pick out your breakfast instead of shave it off in your sleep.

Beard: MY FAVORITE! It takes a special woman to love a man with a nice full beard, trust me we are out there! Beard maintenance is very simple, stop shaving.

Once your beard reaches full potential, keep it maintained by cleaning up any stray hairs to keep the natural shape. Yes, I have seen you boys get those hairs that are almost growing up to your eyes, just shave those little guys off.

There are so many variations of beards that men can wear to give them their own personal style and let their personality shine. Don't forget to trim around your lip line, regardless of your style, your significant other will appreciate seeing your lips. Beard invasion is taking over, no more little sissy boys and defiantly no more mustache rides.
