Until Beyoncé comes out with a premium cerveza of her own, we have AZ Girls’ Pint Out getting the word out to the ladies about the finer points of ales, lagers, and porters. The brew crew celebrates four years of gathering gals to quaff craft beer throughout the Valley on Thursday, May 8.
The local chapter of the national Girls’ Pint Out movement isn’t just a matter of “I am woman, beer me now”; past meet-ups have included talking to local brewers about the process behind their complex suds in mugs. For its fourth anniversary, AZGPO returns to the site of its inaugural meeting, SunUp Brewing Company, where acclaimed brewmaster Uwe Boer will have a special limited edition beer concocted just for this occasion.
The AZ Girls’ Pint Out fourth anniversary party is at SunUp Brewing Company, 322 East Camelback Road in Phoenix, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is $35 and includes two beers, food, and a commemorative pint glass. For more info, visit www.facebook.com/azgirlspintout.
