One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?

Catherine Young followed her fascination with happiness to Iceland.

The island country in the North Atlantic Ocean has been rated one of the happiest places in the world, and the New-York based artist wanted to see it, in doodles.

Her experiment was simple: ask 100 people in Iceland to draw what made them happy.

"Drawing is one of the earliest skills we learn; its basic elements are comprehensible to people of all ages, cultures and nations," Young writes. "I reasoned that if people knew that they were happy, they should be able to identify the source and moreover, visually embody this joy"

Since collecting 100 Icelandic doodles, she's decided to continue the project. You can follow the project at DrawHappy.
