October is here, the weather is cooling down (for the time being), and it's time to get started on a few new projects. And don't think the opportunities are few -- here are five:
1. Do Your Part: A Community Painting Day with Jenny Ignaszewski
This Sunday, October 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., local artist Jenny Ignaszewski is inviting the community to help her with a mural on Sixteenth and Edgemont Street as a part of the Calle 16 project. Ignaszewski says paint and supplies will be available, but that any paint donations will definitely be accepted.
The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture's looking for local artists and poets for its eighth annual 7th Avenue Streetscape exhibition.
