Adjust Your Tracking: The Untold Story of the VHS Collector @ FilmBar No matter the niche, there's almost always a following. Take, for instance, VHS. The entertainment format is all but obsolete, what with DVDs and Blu-Ray discs, but there's a community of collectors that rallies around tapes, passionate about preserving them.

The documentary Adjust Your Tracking gets an inside look at this world of video aficionados and screens at FilmBar at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, June 8. Tickets are $8. Chelsea Girls @ Phoenix Art Museum For the first time ever Andy Warhol's experimental film Chelsea Girls, which looks into the lives of women inhabiting the storied New York Hotel, will be screened in Arizona as its creator intended: on 16mm film (borrowed from MoMA) playing on two projectors simultaneously. It's also the first time the film has screened in AZ since Warhol's time, so don't miss your chance to see the movie when it screens at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, at Phoenix Art Museum. Admission is free. Man of Steel We're almost always suckers for a good superhero storyline, and Man of Steel looks to fit right in with this summer's comics-inspired blockbusters. Zak Synder's reboot of Superman promises a star-studded cast and perhaps (from the looks of a few of the trailers) a less-dark, though still Christopher Nolan-tinged, film than the Batman trilogy that preceded it. The film opens everywhere Friday, June 14. The Bling Ring Emma Watson stars as Alexis Neiers, the leader of a crew of teenage Hollywood Hills burglars who break into homes of stars who aren't home, in Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring. The film chronicles the bizarre true story of celebrity obsession and youthful idiocy. It opens June 21. Princess Bride @ Pollack Tempe Cinemas There isn't much time for dilly-dally -- not when it comes to nabbing tickets to Cult Classics screenings. The monthly events routinely sell out, and we're guessing June 22's screening of The Princess Bride will follow suit. After all, the fairy tale rom-com promises fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, and miracles. And that more than qualifies it as a must-see. The screening takes place at 9:30 p.m. at Pollack Tempe Cinemas. Tickets are $11 to $45 via theprincessbride.brownpapertickets.com.
