Maybe it’s the instant-gratification of a race that’s over in 4 seconds, the concept of driving a car that needs a parachute to stop, or our love of Vin Diesel movies, but there is something about drag racing that just fascinates us. That’s why we’re considering spending this weekend at the 2010 NHRA Arizona Nationals at Firebird International Raceway, 20000 South Maricopa Road in Chandler. The three-day event – the second leg of the 2010 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series season – will feature the circuits’ best racers tearing ass down one of the world’s fastest quarter-mile tracks.
