Glamorama Animal Party at Brick

The Glamorama Animal Party transformed Brick into a Concrete Jungle on Saturday night. Switch of Major Lazer and a slew of local DJs dropped the beastly beats as bunnies, bears, and pikachus hit the dance floor.

You've heard them rumbling by on the street or have seen them taking over the thoroughfares. We're talking about the multitude of motorcyclists, hawg-heads, and weekend warriors that have invaded local streets with their steel steeds over the past few days during the buildup to Arizona Bike Week.

Amateur skateboarders from all over the world battled it out in the 11th Annual PHXAM contest this weekend. First place won $3k; second, $2k; third, $1k; and $2500 went for best trick. A number of locals were among the top contenders, but first place went to second time winner, Ben Hatchell from Virginia.

The Phoenix Film Festival continued on Saturday night as stars and local film enthusiasts gathered at the Harkins Cine Capri theater on Scottsdale Road and the 101.

The Phoenix Type In Brings Typewriters and Instagram Madness to Lux Uptown's Lux Coffeebar hosted a slew of typewriters and typewriter fiends on Saturday. The event was organized by The Magic Margin, an educational experiment run by Ryan Adney and his English students at Alhambra High School in Phoenix. And while Adney's used to seeing a room full of typewriters, the crowds at Lux were a little more surprised.
