Newscaster Lin Sue Cooney may not be known for a sweet disposition, but give her a gingerbread challenge, and turns out she can build one hell of a sweet-based house.
Her creation (pictured above) will be up for view and auction along with a handful of houses made by local chefs, students, community leaders and clean freaks (you better believe the Queen of Clean threw down for this one) this Friday night at After Hours Gallery in Phoenix.
Cooney may have taken a slightly traditional route, but you can expect to see a few a-typical gingerbread set-ups. You can read a foodie-based rundown of the houses on Chow Bella, but take a peek at a few of the craft wonders that'll be at Friday's show after the jump ...
Each house is nearly edible, as the only submission requirement being that 80 percent of the home be food-based. So you can have a risky snack on the ride home (save the hot glue we're sure is loaded into a few of these), or you can relish in the fact that all of the show's proceeds will benefit Neighborhood Housing Services of Phoenix.
After Hours doors will open to the public at 6 p.m.. The gallery's at 116 West McDowell Road #120 in Phoenix. For more information, call (602) 710-2398.
