Though Jim Breuer has been performing stand-up comedy for over 20 years, he's had success in other creative areas as well. Breuer showed his talent for portraying a pothead in his role as Brian, Dave Chappelle's lovably high best friend in the stoner cult comedy Half Baked. He showcased his versatility and creativity during his four-year stint on the cast of Saturday Night Live, playing the recurring character Goat Boy.
The comedian has also stepped out of the acting world for a few projects. In 2009, he released a documentary about life as a traveling comedian using footage of his "Breuniversity Tour." Later that year, he published his autobiography: I'm Not High: (But I've Got a Lot of Crazy Stories about Life as a Goat Boy, a Dad, and a Spiritual Warrior). These days, when comedian Jim Breuer isn't touring the country performing stand-up, he and his wife are taking care of their three daughters.
Before his appearances on Friday and Saturday nights at Stand Up Live, Jim Breuer talked with Jackalope Ranch via e-mail about his routine, his children, and the way his face looks.

What is your favorite part of the comedian lifestyle? My favorite part of the comedy lifestyle is bringing laughter to multi-generations of families! My style is Cosby with a Metallica shirt 'n' jacket!
When have your natural "high eyes" come in handy the most? My natural eyes have helped me my whole career! People's expectation level of me is very low once they see me. So I can only go upward with impressing them!
You've had some major opportunities throughout your career: publishing a book, starring alongside another major comedian in a cult comedy, acting in the cast of Saturday Night Live (and having your own recurring character). To what do you attribute your successes? My success in general comes from my family and morally grounded family life. It's a solid rock that allows me to take chances, go after goals without selling soul for something that will not last forever
How has being a father changed your take on comedy? Being a father has changed my life, my views, and my attitude towards life and my comedy in general. I have a major responsibility that I take very seriously. And it makes me work harder on stage and off.
Speaking of children, do your daughters ever give you ideas for jokes? My daughters are actually funnier than me and continually encourage my new material!
What is the routine you'll be performing at Stand Up Live all about? I will be recapping some big NON-political topics that happened this year. The rest is comedy about my wife of 20 years, my elderly parents, and my daughters.
What do you have planned for the future? When it comes to what's in my future, I can only pray for health, happiness, and laughter! The rest Is out of my control.
