Dolly Sanchez Memorial Easter Egg Hunt: City of Peoria hosts the annual event, named in honor of the late Peoria resident who founded it and hosted it for years. Hours are 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 6, at Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 North 83rd Avenue. Admission is free. For details call 412-7137.

Easter Bunny Brunch: Kids can dine and have their photographs taken with the famous title figure with the floppy ears at this inaugural event, slated for 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at the recreation center at Tempe's Kiwanis Park, 6111 South All-America Way. Easter Egg Hydro Hunt: The seventh annual event, featuring an egg hunt 'neath the water at the wave pool at Kiwanis Park, 6111 South All-America Way in Tempe, is scheduled for 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 7. Also on the agenda: a petting zoo and arts and crafts. Admission is $6, $3 for those ages 3 to 17; kids age 7 and under must be accompanied by an adult in order to swim. Easter "Eggs"travaganza: City of Glendale presents the fourth annual egg hunt for kids ages 1 to 8, who are asked to bring a basket for their goodies. Activities for older children are also planned. The fun's scheduled for 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6, at Sahuaro Ranch Park, 63rd Avenue and Mountain View. Admission is free; donations of eggs for the needy will be accepted. Call 930-2842.

Easter Family Celebration: City of Chandler hosts this free event for accompanied children age 9 and under, which includes an appearance by the Easter Bunny, an egg scramble, entertainment, a magic show and more. The Falcon: Childsplay wraps up its 19th season with this production, adapted by playwright Gregory L. Palmer from an eastern-European folktale titled "Fenist, the Bright Falcon." Set in the 1850s, the play centers on a Russian family visited by a stranger who promises to pay for her supper by relating a tale about a prince disguised as a bird. This week's performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 5; 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6; and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 7, in Stage West at Herberger Theater Center, 222 East Monroe. Sunday's show is interpreted in American Sign Language. The play, appropriate for kids age 5 and up, continues through Sunday, April 21. Tickets are $12.25, $9.25 for students and seniors. Native American Student Arts and Crafts Show: The annual sale of works by youngsters from across the country continues Thursday, April 4; Friday, April 5; and Saturday, April 6, in Helen C. Lincoln Auditorium at Heard Museum, 22 East Monte Vista; admission is free. The related exhibit "Student Art From the Heard Museum Collection" continues through Saturday, August 31, in the museum's Sandra Day O'Connor Gallery; regular admission prices are in effect for that show. "Paint Out": Scottsdale Artists League hosts this series for kids of all ages, featuring hands-on sessions about art and how to make it. This week's event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Desert Botanical Garden, 1201 North Galvin Parkway, in Papago Park. "Peoples of the Sonoran Desert": Phoenix Zoo, 455 North Galvin Parkway, in Papago Park, hosts the latest installment in its educational festival "The Celebration of the Natural World," which continues through September. In "Peoples," kids learn about the cultures and traditions of Native Americans; it continues through Tuesday, April 30. Participation is free with regular admission. Wildlife Night: This fifth annual event features exhibits and demonstrations by Adobe Mountain Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Arizona Game and Fish Department, Wildlife World Zoo, Arizona Heritage Alliance, National Turtle and Tortoise Society and other groups. Pat Murphy's Baseball Sessions: The head coach of the Arizona State University baseball squad hosts pitching and hitting clinics for kids ages 7 to 12 at Packard Stadium, First Street and Rural in Tempe. Special Dragons Punch-a-Thon: Students from Special Dragons School, 2412 West Greenway Road, Suite D, which offers martial-arts training to those with special needs, show off their skills at this fund raiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Wee Folks Hike: City of Tempe hosts this walk through Papago Park, designed for kids ages 4 to 7 and scheduled for 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 6. A guide will lead the hike and point out native flora and fauna. Participants should bring at least one quart of water and meet in front of the main entrance to Phoenix Zoo, 455 North Galvin Parkway; the zoo is not included in the tour. Arizona Museum for Youth: The "Woodwork" exhibition, featuring pieces by Virginia Dotson, Paula Cooperrider, David V. Draper, Rebecca Davis and Roger Asay, Todd Hoyer, Mark S. Mesa Southwest Museum: The touring exhibition "The Great Russian Dinosaurs," featuring 24 full skeletons, remains of dino nests, eggs and hatchlings, skulls and dozens of other specimens collected this century from sites in Russia and Mongolia, continues through Sunday, April 28, at the center, 53 North Macdonald.
