Yes, the Arizona Diamondbacks played at home on the Fourth of July, and, yes, there were fireworks at that game. But if metaphorical fireworks are more your thing, you’ll want to head to Chase Field on Thursday, July 5, when our boys will ignite a fiery home series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Why will this game prove more intense? First of all, the D-Backs are five games behind the NL West-leading Dodgers as of this writing. Secondly, they’ve been streaking lately, winning their last four straight. This four-game series versus Los Angeles could very well be their chance to slide back into first place – all but guaranteeing that any show you watch the night before won’t be this explosive.
