Clearly the time has come when most of our days are going to be spent indoors and preparing for nighttime outdoor parties.

Summertime in Phoenix is all-too-often time to go stir crazy. This garland will help you combat the craziness by giving you a simple craft that results in something pretty to look at and decorative for your next indoor bash.

Or maybe it will make you go crazy... Either way, it's something to do. Ready? Set. GO!

Of course, I found this idea on Pinterest, but the original tutorial comes from minieco.co.uk.

For this project you will need: pretty paper x-acto knife cutting mat ruler sewing machine yarn

1. Gather your items.

2. Use the ruler and knife to cut the paper into 1x6 inch (approximate) strips.

3. Sew them together!

4. Cut two pieces of yarn long enough to provide length for where you want to hang the garland. Glue or tape a piece of yarn to each end of the garland and hang it up!
