Art and breakfast go together like jam and toast, which is why Scottsdale Public Arts is hosting a Breakfast Walking Tour for those who appreciate arts and culture as much as they do the most important meal of the day.
The tour begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, with coffee and pastries in rooms one and two of the Appaloosa Library, 7377 East Silverstone Drive in Scottsdale. From there, guests will have a chance to view the library’s artwork with Wendy Raisanen, Scottsdale Public Art's curator of exhibitions and collections. Following the library walk-through, guests will head to the corner of Silverstone Drive and Scottsdale Road to explore the city's latest addition to its permanent collection, Re Currents, and meet with the L.A.-based artist team behind the project, Claudia Resisenberger and Franka Diehnelt of Merge Conceptual Design. Admission to the tour is free. Visit www.scottsdalepublicart.org or call 480-874-4645.
