How does a person produce a memoir at the tender age of 20? If the author in question is Bristol Palin (writing with Nancy French), she starts by throwing her ex-fiancé slash baby-daddy, Levi Johnston, under the campaign bus.
According to the first chapter of Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, Levi took the then 15-year-old Bristol camping, got her drunk on wine coolers, and then stole her virginity. Consider it a pre-emptive strike: Levis own memoir, Deer in the Headlights: My Life in Sarah Palins Crosshairs, is due out this fall. Gutsy? Maybe. Calculated? You betcha.
Li'l Palin will sign copies of her memoir at Desert Ridge Marketplace (the same place her equally infamous mother launched a tour last November for her latest book).
