Ever dream of seeing your art exhibited at a museum, being part of a modern dance company, or writing a play for young audiences? First you have to put yourself out there. And we've found several places you can start. Here's the rundown on 15 artist opportunities for visual and performing artists.

Fire Station 603
Scottsdale Public Art is accepting applications from artists interested in designing and creating a Terrazzo floor and/or artistic glass treatment for the lobby and entrance corridor of a new fire station. The design should reflect the character of the city’s resort corridor and McCormick Ranch area. The project's budget is $45,000.

“Heartbreakers”
The Warehouse 1005 gallery operated by PSA Art Awakenings in Roosevelt Row is looking for work to exhibit in a group show designed to celebrate the life of Tom Petty and raise awareness about opioid addiction. Work can be submitted at the gallery on Friday, April 20, or Saturday, April 21. The exhibition opens on First Friday, May 4. Learn more on the Art Awakenings website.

Beta Dance Festival
Phoenix Center for the Arts has issued a call for artists for its Beta Dance Festival, which takes place in September. The Center is accepting residency applications, which include support for creating a new work for the festival, through Monday, April 30. Regular applications for those who want to present work during the festival are due on Wednesday, May 30. Get details on the Phoenix Center for the Arts website.

Eye Lounge
The artist-run Eye Lounge collective is looking for artists to join as members for a period of one to three years. Each member presents at least one solo show, and participates in at least one group show, each year. Members also share responsibilities for gallery operations. Luna Culture Lab Mural
Torres Multicultural Communications is looking for an artist to help design and paint a mural on its building at 803 East Washington Street. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 23. Get more details on the Luna Culture Lab Facebook page.

DACA Exhibition
Xico is looking for work to feature in an exhibition at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in downtown Phoenix. Themes include "DACA, DREAMers, immigrants, and children of immigrants." The deadline to apply is Monday, April 30. Learn more on the Xico Facebook page.

Logo Design Competition
The Eastlake Community Collaborative is looking for logo designs that represent the Eastlake neighborhood, from Van Buren to Jackson between 12th and 16th streets. The winning artist will receive $500, and the logo will be used in several settings, including wayfinding signs and marketing materials. Applications are due on Monday, April 30. Contemporary Forum Artists’ Grants
This contemporary-art support organization for Phoenix Art Museum is accepting applications from emerging Arizona artists for its 2018 artists’ grants competition. The selection committee will award up to five $2,000 grants and recipients’ work will be featured in a future museum exhibition. Applications are due by Friday, April 27. ArtPrize
Phoenix was selected as one of this year’s pitch-night locations for this fall’s Michigan-based ArtPrize competition. Artists are invited to submit proposals for an installation at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, and five artists will be chosen to participate in an ArtPrize pitch night happening at Found:RE Phoenix on Tuesday, May 22. Tempe Art Grants
The city of Tempe is currently accepting grant applications in several arts-related areas, including community arts and art festivals, as well as art experiences at Tempe Center for the Arts. Grant amounts run up to $10,000. Applications are due on Monday, May 7. Get additional details on the city of Tempe website.

Center Dance Ensemble Auditions
Center Dance Ensemble, the resident modern dance company at Herberger Theater Center, is seeking dancers with advanced ballet and modern dance skills for its 2018/19 season. The audition comprises a modern dance class with Amber Robbins on Saturday, May 12. Find more information on the Center Dance Ensemble website.

“Repetition”
Herberger Theater Center is accepting submissions for an upcoming exhibition with a repetition theme, which will be juried by Lacey Shelton. Work can feature repetition of ideas, materials, or processes. They’ll be shown in the venue’s on-site art gallery. The deadline is Friday, May 18. “In This Together”
ACLU of Arizona is looking for work to feature in a juried exhibition that will travel throughout Arizona to commemorate the civil rights' organizations 60th anniversary. The exhibition will launch at ASU Gammage in late October. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, May 30. Find more information on the ACLU website.

Professional Development Grants
Arizona Commission on the Arts is accepting applications for several types of grants, including its professional development grants, which provide $500 to $750 for Arizona artists to participate in activities such as artist residencies, conferences, and workshops. Write Now
Write Now, an initiative focused on developing new plays for young audiences, is seeking scripts for possible development through its Write Now gathering in Tempe in February 2019. Submissions are due on Thursday, May 31. Find more information on the Write Now website.

ASU Downtown Vault Gallery
The ASU campus in downtown Phoenix is looking for local artists to exhibit work in the Vault Gallery located inside the campus library. They’re planning exhibitions for spring, summer, and fall of 2019. Interested artists should apply by Thursday, May 31. Learn more on the Arizona Commission on the Arts website.

Mesa Community College Art Gallery
The MCC Art Gallery has issued an open call for curatorial proposals, from independent curators, artist-curators, curatorial teams, and nonprofit arts and culture organizations interested in exhibiting work at the gallery. Xico Hot Box Gallery
Xico has put out the call to artists, curators, and artist group representatives looking for opportunities to exhibit artwork inside the Hot Box shipping containers in Roosevelt Row. Xico specializes in fostering appreciation for work by Latino and indigenous peoples of the Americas. There’s a rolling deadline so you can submit a proposal any time. Shemer Art Center
Shemer Art Center is accepting applications for solo exhibitions featuring work in diverse media. Artists can submit applications on a rolling basis. Find additional information on the Shemer Art Center website.
