Valley fever gets a bad rap. So what if it killed your dog or gave you a hole in your lungs? Big freaking deal. It's not all bad.

In fact, there's a happening tonight that we're all gonna want to catch. On Thursday, March 12, get infected by SMoCA Nights: Valley Fever. This season's party promises to be the best ever, with a lineup of some of the Valley's top performance artists, including Kjellgren Alkire, whose thoughtfully goofy religious antics scored him a New Times Best of Phoenix Award in 2007. Alkire’s also a part of SMoCA's “Seriously Funny” exhibition, which will be open for viewing during the event.

There will also be some of the hottest DJs in the house, such as Jared Alan (FauxShow, Adult Swim), William Fucking Reed (Shake!), Rani “g” (one), and dk.strickler. The eve will round out with a fashion show – organized by international fashion photographer Duc Lioa and his partner, Lisa Macchiaroli of Canal online magazine – that promises to be unlike any that's graced the catwalk at SMoCA, thanks to some smoking-hot models from The Agency Arizona.
