They told you it couldn’t be done. Back in the '90s, when your hair was spiky and your clothing preferences included all-too baggy shirts and pants hanging off your butt (preferably simultaneously) they said you’d never make a living skating So you might as well devote to your life to the “greed is good” philosophy of Gordon Gekko and resign to a life of being an office schlub.

But you stayed vigilant -- militant even -- in your quest to make a few dimes with your skateboard tricks. Well, now’s your chance, kid. You might not be Tony Hawk, but Cowtown Skateboard’s Concrete Chaos offers a nice backup plan this weekend. Bring your board and ballsiness for the best trick contest for a chance to win a $500 purse. Plus, live demonstrations from local pro Aaron “Jaws” Homoki will show you what the skating kids are up to these days. Should you fail miserably, free pizza will make everything okay.
