Scottsdale's been on the national radar for sightings (and upcoming reality shows) on the Dirty, a possible Real Housewives series, and now, our very own city -- better known by locals for its nightlife, galleries, and public art program -- has a chance to claim the "best bathroom in the country." Proud moment.
Scottsdale Center for the Performing Art's bathroom was designed in 2005 by Phoenix-based architect John Douglas, who says the space's color-changing lights are meant to reflect the skies of the Sonoran Desert. (Because really, who doesn't want to think about dry, craking earth during a trip to the toilet?)
This year, the loo's been chosen as one of 10 finalists in the tenth-annual America's Best Restroom Contest, and you can vote the the bathroom into infamy now through September 19.
Scottsdale's up against watering holes in Castello di Amorosa Winery in California, Don's Johns Presidential Luxury Restroom Trailer in Virginia, and Ninja New York in the Big Apple, to name a few.
