Southern Scottsdale happens to be a hotbed of mid-century architecture. And Nonprofit organization Scottsdale Gateway Alliance is hosting a home tour to prove it. Its first-ever Inspiration Home Tour is happening Sunday, November 9.

"It's something we're trying to celebrate and draw attention to," says Dana Close, a board member and director of community outreach with the nonprofit, which is working to revitalize Southern Scottsdale.
The tour will feature properties that have been fully remodeled and others that keep to their mid-century roots, including homes designed by Ralph Haver and Charles Schreiber, among other architects.
Check-in will take place starting at 11:30 a.m. at Sky Song, where attendees will receive wristbands. They can also hop on a trolley to start the tour. Four trolleys will circulate along the tour route until 4 p.m., stopping at each home in 15-minute increments. Maps will be given out so that people also can drive themselves from place to place.
