For 30 Rock devotees to separate Broadway actress and singer Jane Krakowski from her ever-scheming character Jenna Maroney is a tall order.
Both are successful actresses. Although, as noted in her self-made obituary, Jenna's most esteemed credits include being a three-time Tony ... Shaloub sex partner. Both beautifully belt sultry songs, albeit Maroney will do so regardless of appropriateness. (Read: Anytime, any place, and for no apparent reason at all.) And both take to the stage like they were born to be on it – as Krakowski has proved with her award-winning performances in Nine and Guys and Dolls.
Despite their similarities and differences, when Krakowski performs her coy cabaret act at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, it will be all too easy (and oh-so fun) to imagine that it's the fictional femme strutting around singing standards backed by a quartet.
