Since there's really no better accessory than a cocktail in your hand,
each week brings you a tasty adult beverage from one of our favorite
drinking establishments, complete with recipe.
This week: The Hummer at Kitchen 56
Thanks to Kitchen 56, our hearts are back in the heart of Arcadia, sipping cool cocktails and soaking in Camelback mountain views. Lets face it, the neighborhood needed a hip addition -- we were getting kinda bored.
The once "Vatra Grillhouse," has changed the name, kept the owners and added a few heart-winning additions, namely
a more retro and casual atmosphere and most importantly, a cocktail list from
the liquor elitist gods.
The Hummer defines afternoon delight, made with the new "it" liquor that's popping up on cocktail lists across the country called Hum Botanical Spirit.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz. Hum Botanical Spirit
1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
1 oz. Ginger Beer
1 oz. Champagne
In a shaker filled with ice combine Hum, lime juice, and ginger beer. Give it a couple gentle shakes, but nothing crazy, we don't wanna scare the fizz outta the ginger beer. Pour contents into a pint glass and top off with some champagne for your Arcadia neighborhood campaign. Garnish with a lime.
