Learn the Japanese arts of taiko drumming, origami, and woodblock printing all while taking in the picturesque views of the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix/Ro Ho En to celebrate the garden's 10th anniversary this Saturday, November 10.
The garden spans 3.5 acres with more than 50 varieties of plants, a 12-foot waterfall and a Koi pond with more than 300 colorful fish, and many other attractions.

All the activities and tours of the garden will be taking place from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with an admission fee of $2 for adults and kids 6 and under are free, according to Executive Director, Susan McCall.
"As opposed to a performance, there will be teachers instructing those interested how to do some of the activities like taiko drumming," says McCall, who adds that participants can also learn the art of origami and woodblock printing.
McCall says there will be snacks and refreshments available throughout the day and the first 100 visitors are promised a free gift.
