Looking for ways to fill up your weekend? Here are your five best bets for getting out and about in the Valley of the Sun.

Welcome Back Splash @ The Westin Phoenix Downtown Arizona State students will engage in the time-honored tradition of pool partying on Friday when the school's Programming and Activities Board (PAB) hosts a rooftop bash downtown.

Make a splash on from 7 to 10 p.m. at The Westin Phoenix Downtown. ASU students get in free. Light snacks and refreshments will be complimentary.Labor Day Miami Vice White Party @ Cadillac Ranch Scrunch up those white blazer sleeves and tuck in your pink T-shirt, it's time for a Miami Vice-themed Labor Day party. Missy Lectro and Royal Nightlife Entertainment host the beachy barn-burner on Saturday at Cadillac Ranch, complete with biggest '80s hair contest, wet T-shirt action, sets from DJs Jen Deveroux and Johnny Knuckles, and plenty of (we hope pastel-colored) Jell-O shots.

The party starts at 7 p.m. Ladies get in free. Dudes pay $5.

Saboten Con 2012 @ Renaissance Glendale This year Arizona's premiere anime convention, Saboten Con, finds a new home at Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa thanks to massive turnout topping 2,500 at last year's Japan-centric jam.

The con kicks off Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and continues through Monday. Highlights include a J-fashion show, Lolita Tea Party, and Steampunk Ball. Full-event tickets are $50 at the door, with discounted single-day passes ranging from $30 to $35.

Tiffe Fermaint Collection Launch @ Buffalo Exchange On Sunday, Phoenix designer Tiffe Fermaint will debut her up-cycled line Reincarnation at Buffalo Exchange in Tempe. Created from Goodwill finds modified to fit Fermaint's punk-glam aesthetic, the collection includes menswear and womens items, shoes, and other accessories at Buffalo-friendly price points (shoes start at $35, shorts at $18, and tops at $25.

Get ready for a fashionable fight over who gets what pieces starting at 11 a.m. Blaque Panther Disco (William Reed and Elise Welch) will sountrack the release party. There's no cover.

The Official Body Art After Party @ Bottoms Up After spending the day searching for the next big body mod trend (we're so over butthole ink), Body Art Expo attendees can wind down at Timeless Art Tattoo and Coolin' Out's official after party on Sunday.

Take in the tatts, along with $1 PBRs, $5 you-call-its during the party, and, should you so desire, lap dances at Bottoms Up Gentlemen's Club from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
