It's Friday and you've already mentally checked out of your work week. Go ahead and indulge in an imaginative fantasy of all the things you can do this weekend. We'll help you get started with this list.

Super Happy Funtime Burlesque @ 910 Live
The name alone of this event is irresistible. Not to mention, people will be taking off their clothes. What more could you want? The Super Happy Funtime Burlesque troupe is based in the Midwest and has come to Phoenix to show off their Midwest "hospitality" with naughty musical numbers, comedy bits and, of course, stripteases. The show kicks off at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, August 20. Click here for the details.

Cave Creek Coffee Company 3-year Anniversary @ Cave Creek Coffee Company
If you find yourself in the North Valley tonight, check out the swanky anniversary party of this coffee shop, wine bar, and restaurant. The whole thing is sponsored by Svedka vodka which means martinis, martinis, martinis...and more martinis poured into an ice luge. For real. The shindig costs $18-$20 and kicks off at 7 p.m. Friday, August 20. Click here for details.

Firestage @ The Firehouse
It's third Friday tonight and that means The Firehouse hosts its monthly underground variety show with MC Ernesto Moncada (aka Ernasty). You'll see comedy, poetry, music, dance, spoken word, and, you know, a variety of live performances. This month the show promises participation by locals Lola, Anna Moncada, Kevin Patterson, Samson Says, Robot Destroyers From Planet Earth and much, much more. Things get wild at 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, August 20. Click here for details.

Free Summer Block Party @ 7th and Montecito Avenues
In other parts of the country where the summer weather is nice and a city is truly urban, the block party is a staple of the warmer months. Phoenix wants in on that action so the Tempe Starving Artist Magazine (check out their Facebook page) is throwing a Free Summer Block Party. The day will feature some succulent BBQ, live art, and live music by local bands. Grab your cut-off shorts and tank tops (unless you're a man, of course) and head to the party from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday, August 21. Click here for details.

Silent Sunday @ South Mountain Park
Evidently, you're in for a lot of partying on Friday and Saturday. Come Sunday, you'll need some serious detox time. Your best bet is to get out and sweat a little during the Silent Sunday at South Mountain. Hit the trails (we know a good one) and enjoy the desert without all those loud, pesky cars and motorcycles messing up your downtime. Click here for details.
