One new idea for every day in 2011. We're talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here's today's -- what's yours?
In January, local designer Vince Gonzalez put a call out to the design community. He wanted 12 artists to create 30 pieces of artwork over 30 days -- 360 original pieces in a month.
Artists took on the challenge, and Twelve By Thirty was born. The commitment, Gonzalez says is "not for the weak-hearted, the lazy or mildly crafty artist."
The rules: Each artist must have one piece of visual work uploaded before midnight everyday for a month.
The goal: To challenge each artist's creativity while growing the local art community.
Twelve By Thirty is hosting a show tomorrow night of work completed so far at the one oh one gallery at 101 West Main St. in Mesa. Doors are open from 6 to 9 p.m..
