Google Glass, the Internet giant’s tech-crammed lensless eyeglass frames, might have some techies abuzz, but we prefer the fashion points scored with the stylishly clunky aviator goggles of yore. If you agree, you’ll be right at home at Alwun House’s "Intertemporalist Steampunk Exposition" this Saturday, April 13.

Victorian era sci-fi, 19th century industrial technology, and retro-futuristic alternate realities inspire works from local artists Steve Gompf, Neal Johnson, and Lindz Lew. Amidst the timewarp will be a dramatic reading of Edgar Allan Poe’s Maelström, a seemingly old man’s tale of the power of the sea under the direction of Robert X. Planet and with performances by Baron Dixon, Wanda McHatton, and Joy Bingham Strimple.
