Here in the southwest, we don’t hide behind snobbery to get our drink on. And when it comes to testing our palates, we go straight for the hard stuff. The 2010 Phoenix Tequila Fest promises to showcase tequilas with distinct flavors, exotic recipes and unexpected infusions for those who like a little sophistication with their liquor. Once folks start to feel lightheaded, they can soak it up with eats from Macayo’s, La Parrilla Suiza, America’s Taco Shop and other local Mexican food restaurant samplings.
