While flower power idealism changed the world in the 1960s, that’s not to say that hippies have had it easy since. The Last of the Haussmans is a humorous exploration of what happens when those funky chickens of the counterculture come home to roost in reality. Recorded from the stages of London’s National Theatre, it plays on Sunday, October 21.

Julie Walters, most well known for Billy Elliot and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, carries on as aging flower child Judy Haussman. Haussman’s son and daughter, played by Helen McCrory and Rory Kinnear respectively, gather at her home after a recent hospital visit. Amidst plenty of day-drinking, the family comes together and discovers just how far astray they’ve gone.
