If a tourist were to walk through downtown Scottsdale without previous conceptions, she might think something along the lines of, “Wow. These Affliction-wearing club hoppers are really fond of bronze statues of horses.” We’d politely disagree, and note that those statues are representative of a cowboy culture that once thrived in the dusty desert town.

Although the town has transformed over the years, it remains a gathering place for the Old West traditions. The annual Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show celebrates its 57th year in the Valley this week, packing WestWorld of Scottsdale with nearly 2,400 of the finest bred horses in the world, their owners, professional riders, and spectators for shows featuring the prancing equines, barn tours, classes, crafts, and more.
