In a place where there’s not even a major street dedicated to the late, great civil rights movement leader, a pretty cool MLK Day tradition has developed over the years in downtown: the Martin Luther King Festival & Commemorative March. At 9 a.m. Monday, January 18, join other folks at they walk from Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, 1401 East Jefferson Street, over to Margaret T. Hance Park, 1134 North Central Avenue, where a festival that includes various entertainment and activities goes off from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
