The Phoenix Coyotes haven’t given their fans much to celebrate in the last two seasons, but they’ve at least been exciting. The ‘yotes have seemingly been sitting somewhere between seventh and 10th place for the last season and a half. This has given championship implications to virtually every game the Coyotes play -- every win seems like a ticket to the playoffs; every loss seems crippling.

A quick glance at the Western Conference standings shows that the Coyotes are still hovering around the cutoff line, which means that Saturday, January 4's game against the lowly Philadelphia Flyers at Glendale's Jobing.com Arena, 9400 West Maryland, is crucial. A home game against the Flyers -- one of the worst teams in the NHL -- should be easy points for a playoff team, which would make a loss that much more devastating.

The puck will drop at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $20 and are available through www.ticketmaster.com
