Gather your empty bags and prep your nose for the smell of books: the VNSA Book Sale is back. All year, members of the Volunteer Nonprofit Service Association have been sorting through hundreds of thousands of books, and on Saturday and Sunday, Feburary 16 and 17, more than eight and one-half semi-truck loads full of books will be up for sale in at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 West McDowell Road.

The 57th annual event, billed as one of the largest book sales in the country and the “Valley's Greatest Treasure Hunt,” includes more than half a million copies of paperbacks, hardbacks, children’s books, and rare items. Book junkies and collectors will line up around the block to get first dibs on books that have been donated by bookstores and individuals throughout the year.
