If you’re looking for football with a side story, then today’s game between the Arizona Cardinals and the St. Louis Rams is right up your alley. The main draw will be the Cards’ potent offense, but this game should have a nice “B plot.” Before the Rams step into University of Phoenix Stadium, they’ll have to decide if they even want to win. Sure, no one likes losing, but a defeat would do the Rams a hell of a lot more good than a win. That’s because they will receive the 1st overall pick in April’s draft if they finish with the worst record in the league. Fortunately for St. Louis, they’ve sucked so much this year that they could easily tank their remaining games without arousing anyone’s suspicions.
