Life's been good to the DJ collective of Above & Beyond (a.k.a. Jonathan Grant, Paavo Siljamäki, and Tony McGuinness). Madonna reportedly is a big fan of the U.K.-based trance triumvirate and requested that they remix two of her singles (2001's "What It Feels Like For a Girl" and 2003's "Nobody Knows Me"). A&B's weekly radio program "Trance Around the World" is broadcast globally, and their mixes have regularly been featured by such superstar spinsters as Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk. The trio has crisscrossed the planet, dropping beats from Auckland to Amsterdam. And the latest stop on their seemingly endless world tour is an appearance at Myst on Friday, May 8. Locals DJ Soloman and Spencer Thomas will open up the night, with DJ Breez blasting out some mash-ups and hip-hop in the adjacent Ballroom.
