Garfield Galleria

It would be fair to say that restoring the physical – and moral – integrity of the Garfield Galleria was a passion project for owner Donna Trigilio. In the 1930s the building served as an apartment complex before becoming home to a Baptist Church in the 60s. But in 2002 it was home to a colorful array of tenants, only half full and in need of some love. Trigilio has since turned it into a home for 13 art spaces, each of which are individually run by whoever rents the space. It's a two-story bunker against the commercial world that we're happy to venture to on First and Third Fridays. Garfield Galleria is always less crowded than the Roosevelt Row spots, you might actually be able to find a parking spot and there are plenty of good eats within walking distance. What's not to love?
