If you're looking for a place to buy an action figure, McFarlane, located at Westgate in Glendale, is it. That is assuming that you're not interested in child-friendly toys like My Little Pony (though they have that, too) and are interested in life-like action figures of American soldiers or a bound, blindfolded and buxom S&M version of Dorthy from The Wizard of Oz. McFarlane's takes its name from Todd McFarlane, a Canadian cartoonist, artist, writer toy designer and entrepreneur who's best known for creating the Spawn cartoon and working on Marvel's Spider-Man franchise. In addition to collectible sports figures and twisted toys from McFarlane's mind, the store carries characters from Halo and Nightmare on Elm street.
