Grand, resort-like Italian restaurant at the foot of Pinnacle Peak, next to its culinary country cousin Pinnacle Peak Patio. The opulent stone, wood and leather interior is somewhat overbearing, but the service is friendly and the southern Italian-style cuisine is quite affordable considering the surroundings. Entrées tend to be on the bland side, but the appetizers, whether they fall under the headings of antipasti, verdure or insalata, are scrumptious. And the desserts are superb. The owners dropped a nice chunk of change on this place, and it's worth seeing, but until they improve the entrées, stick to the starters, several of which will leave you as fat and happy as Paul Prudhomme with a plate of pastries.
