The Stock Shop

Nearly all traces of the West Valley’s former farming culture might be gone, but The Stock Shop in Glendale on Thunderbird Road is still in business after over 30 years. Now the store caters as much to urban farmers as it does ranchers by providing tack, pet supplies, vet services, and feed for livestock. The family-owned store operates in a gorgeous wooden barn that relates both its ol’ fashioned American country Western spirit and pride of ownership. Along with everything you need to get down and dirty on the farm, The Stock Shop has on-site dog grooming, carries specialty pet supplies like organic food, holds a weekly farmers’ market on Sundays, and offers special order services for anything you could need for any size animal. If you just adopted or spayed/neutered a lucky cat or dog, be sure to join the Responsible Pet Owner Club. For participating, The Stock Shop will give you up to $50 in store gift certificates for each pet (limit 3). The only other catch is that you have to bring an itemized receipt along with an application (located on their webpage) within 60 days of your adopting or spaying/neutering your pet.
