The former grade school student in you was probably delighted to see the opening of Toasted, a grilled cheese-focused gastropub set in Phoenix’s Melrose District. Toasted’s hunger-inducing menu offers 11 types of imaginative grilled cheese sandwiches, including the Jalapeño Popper with jalapeno jack cheese and whole roasted jalapenos, the Phoenix Cheesesteak, and the classic 'Merika. Appetizers include housemade potato chips, tater tots, warm pretzel bread, fried pickles, and Wisconsin fried cheese curds. Guests also find soups, an array of sauces, and eye-catching desserts like the Fat Elvis and Big Banana Theory, plus classics like s’mores, bread pudding, and vanilla ice cream. Toasted also offers a full bar, draft beers like Camelback IPA, and cans and bottles of Phoenix Ale Brewing Biltmore Blonde, San Tan Hefe, and PBR Tall Boys.
