She might be person most to blame for the misuse of the word "ironic" in America, but who cares? We've always had a soft spot for Alanis Morissette. Jagged Little Pill was such an unforgettable album from the '90s, and its "pissed off at the world" attitude felt relatable at the time (and it still does).

Maybe we secretly dig Canadians, but whatever. Her new album Havoc and Bright Lights, due out Tuesday, August 28, and she'll be delighting nostalgic crowds at Comerica Theatre on Thursday, November 1. We can only hope she plays that "Joey from Full House" song we love so dearly.

Bad Books is bringing its pop-riddled brand of indie rock to The Crescent Ballroom on October 12th. No doubt the hipsters will be out in full force to catch a listen to the supergroup's new album, Bad Books II, dropping Tuesday, October 9.
