There are three craft fairs going head to head this weekend in this town and I want to see some blood.

Just kidding. Actually, I'm pumped that everyone's so jazzed about getting all hands-y and creative. So, actually, skip the guns and needles and just grab a wad of cash. But you should still download Eye of the Tiger. Shopping is serious business, after all.

First up is the 3rd Annual Indie Crafeteria hosted by Frances Vintage and Smeeks. They're boasting handmade goods by 30 local artists (including SeeSaw Designs who was featured by ScoopFactory.com this week). As if that weren't enough, there will live music and a spectacular "Sweets Alley" with goodies by Urban Cookies, Sweet Pea Bakery, SilkShortbread and ib2 Chocolates. 10 W. Camelback Rd in Phoenix tonight (Friday, Dec. 4th) from 6-10 p.m.

Then we've got the Indie Chic @ 10th Street at the ASU Art Museum in Tempe. Now, this fair has over 30 participants including the folks from Laboratory5 who previously drew a good crowd on their own every year, hosting a fair from their house. If that's any indication of the quality of goods on display, this one is definitely worth a visit. Southeast corner of 10th Ave. and Mill St. at ASU Art Museum in Tempe tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 5th) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Our third and final crafting contestant is the Craft Fair at Bragg's Pie Factory. This baby features more than 20 local crafters. It's all a part of the great, big Holiday Shopping Extrava-GRAND-za. Basically every space on Grand including the Paisley Violin Cafe, Paisley Town, Sweets & Beats, Kooky Krafts Shop and Sapna Cafe will be open for some serious business. Not only can you shop, but there will be live music and plenty of pit-stops to scarf on some delicious food. Along lower Grand Avenue (between 10th Avenue and 15th Avenue) tomorrow (Saturday, Dec. 5th) from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

And after all that, go ahead and take a nap...you've earned it.
