Now, doesn't that sound fancy?
That's because it kinda is. The HRC Arizona Gala is on its fifth year of organizing an art auction to benefit The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), America's largest civil rights organization working to achieve gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender equality.
And you can check out the goods this weekend, during Art Detour.
Hector Ruiz, artist and owner of the Chocolate Factory has donated
studio space to pimp the art auction collection available for bid at
the gala, taking place Saturday, March 21st. The donated artwork will
be on display March 6th-8th and features work by downtown Phoenix
artists. Lara Taubman, arts writer for Artnews, Contemporary, Modern
Painters and Scupture magazines, also an experienced curator having
organized local and international exhibitions is curating the
collection.
Check out the work this weekend and if you see something you just have
to have, cough up your $250 (told you it was fancy) for tickets to the
gala and place your bid.
Preview of the Art Auction donations is from March 6-8 at the Chocolate Factory, 1105 NW Grand Avenue in Phoenix.
The HRC Gala takes place Saturday, March 21st. Visit www.boxofficetickets.com/hrc for tickets or call 1-200-494-8497.
