Everyone has felt the pressure to really bring it with personal style. You've got a big work event coming up and it's necessary to make an impression. Easy enough. You hit the gym a little harder a month before and grab up some fashion magazines to help you make the perfect attire decisions. The map is there, you just have to follow it.

But imagine if you were the person to make the map. You have to anticipate what the public will latch onto next. Talk about pressure. Designers have it rough.

John Loring, design director of Tiffany & Co. since 1979 knows all about this game. The internationally renowned company repeatedly sets the bar for jewelry design. Loring will be at Phoenix Art Museum tomorrow night to talk about his career, the inside story of Tiffany & Co. and offer insights to the culture of American style.

"Tiffany Style" lecture by John Loring starts at 7pm at Phoenix Art Museum on Tuesday, October 28. 1625 N. Central Avenue, 602-257-1880, http://phxart.org/.
