Coldplay is back with a new Christmas single, according to Consequence of Sound.
The band is prepping for a busy and exciting 2011, having just announced a handful of European festival dates in which they will take a headlining slot. Leading up to the new year, Chris Martin is bringing his band back into the spotlight with "Christmas Lights."
On Monday they released a sample of the song and the video, but here's the real deal in full. The music video was done in the style of a play with the band performing the song on a stage in a theater. It includes a mass releasing of balloons off a yacht, a lot of confetti snow, and Elvis impersonators playing violins. You know, because nothing says "holiday spirit" like Elvis impersonators playing violins. Hey, why not.
